Background story
Exaru was once a Soldier of the Eredar army through out its reign of chaos on the galaxy. Quickly promoted through the ranks he was charged by Magtheradon to seek out and destroy all Draenei cities and camps, to which Exaru did without question. Draenei, uncorrupted Eredar, recognized him as a symbol of cruelty and oppression, and many leaders were slain by Exaru's merciless axe. Victory upon victory, Exaru was held as an example to others of fulfillment of the Titans true power. Leaders of the burning legion claimed that he was blessed with powers from the dark titan, Sargeras.
Exaru lead the first assault on the Shattrath temple that left the sacred place in ruin. It would be fate that later Exaru would be given the order to conduct an undercover uprising within Shattrath to discover the power of the Naaru and perhaps obtain it for the Burning Legions use. However, the Naaru saw through this plan and took it as an opportunity to purify Exaru and release him from the corruption that the legion had placed upon him. Exaru was regarded as a traitor to the burning legion that is wanted by most factions for the murder and considered genocide Exaru has besieged upon other races.
Exaru has found haven amongst the Alliance of Human and Night Elf, notably a friendship with Lesson Vale and Jack'Aran.
Allies
Jack'Aran of Ashenvale: Notably Exaru's first friend upon being converted by the Naaru, while most people and races looked at Exaru as nothing short of a heartless monster, Jack'Aran saw a man who was connected with nature and wielded its ferocity much like Jack'Aran did.
Exaru sometimes requires spiritual counseling and concocts a mixture of chemicals to speak with nature, Jack'Aran nick named this mixture jokingly, "Mother's recipe."
Lesson Vale of Gilneas: Lesson Vale and Exaru came to blows within an Arena match, when Exaru found himself unable to defeat this human in a match of strength. Neither men capable of surrendering, Lesson Vale finally sundered Exaru's weapons and demanded that Exaru yield but, the Draenei's warrior within would not allow him to and requested to die a warrior's death. Lesson was morally struck by this courage and knocked the Draenei unconscious to claim his victory. After which Lesson Recruited Exaru to join him on his quest to Northrend during Wrath of the Lich king.
During Cataclysm, Lesson Vale and Exaru work closely together on selling top quality leather and mail armor.

Strength: Exaru possess natural strength capable of lifting three hundred pounds. A direct punch from Exaru has been known to spar against equally strong individuals such as Lesson Vale.
Agility: Despite a huge body mass, Exaru has incredible mobility as he can quickly maneuver around a battlefield and quickly attack his target while avoiding potential harm.
Elemental Control: Exaru is an adept shaman capable of wielding natural energy of Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. He has created spirit wolves to attack his foe, created lightning storms to demolish land, summoned tidal water to heal his allies, and has raised small volcano's from the ground to siege enemy structures.
