Illidan Reborn
-The ground would begin to moan and cry as Illidan awoken surrounded by darkness and aberrations of life. Illidan growled as everything was a dark green color. His weapons were missing, but his strength was at its peak. He looked around with a fiery gaze when he heard a harmonic female’s voice speaking to him.- “Illidan Stormrage…You are trapped within the Emerald Dream…Once a nightmare now a lost spirit. To survive you must have the willpower to free yourself of demons of the past.” –Illidan would growl with obnoxious amount of anger.- “WHOEVER YOU ARE, I WILL KILL YOU!” –A male’s voice would softly say.- “He is more twisted than we imagined…” –Another woman would speak.- “We must have hope, my love. Believe in him.” Illidan would growl and raise his fists to defend himself.- “COME OUT AND FACE ME!” –The male would then appear before Illidan a green haze, a cloud almost.- “Illidan…Forgive me for what I must do…” Illidan growled and began walking towards the male figure.- <c>
“Illidan, by the power of Cenarius the Guardian of the Grove...” The Female would suddenly appear in a bright silver color.- “By the power of Elune, the goddess of the moon!” –Illidan would stop and snarl towards the two beings as his eyes scrunched and his eye brows furrowed.- “Arrgh!” –Then a purple cloud would appear.- “Illidan, reach within your mind and unlock the awesome power that was once yours! By the power of the Emerald Dream, you will be given…” –Illidan would begin to feel his skin burn and roar in agony.- “…Imagination, inspiration…“ –Illidan felt his skin ripping apart like a delicate fabric a black demon growled and roared as it poured out of his skin like blood.- “hope, passion, conscience, logic, reason! Illidan Stormrage, the Emerald Dream calls upon your MIND! Come back to your body and claim that which is yours!” –The demon would rip out of Illidan and cause him to groan as he collapsed to the ground. He shivered and looked around.-<c>
Maiev Shadowsong: Hidden within the shadows, a lone elf was expectating silently. Her armor would've outstood incredibly, if not for the invisibility effect the night had on her. Before her very eyes, her worst enemy of all times was being brought back to life by no other than her own kin. The female's blood practically boiled in both anger and agony. These... these idiots had revived a terrible evil. Tyrande and Malfurion. Both of them, had lost all respect from the quiet onlooker. It was all in vain. Redemption? Ridiculous. Reinstitution? What were they going to do, reintroduce Illidan into society? Not under her watch. Her emerald eyes glared profusely at the very demon taking shape, her hands gripping the handle of her umbra crescent. She had to be fast. She had to be deadly. Those crazed idiots and the dragoness would punish her, no doubt. But it was her duty. Her only goal. Maiev Shadowsong had nothing else, other than her eternal pursuit. She would not die, nor falter, until Illidan was either
Maiev Shadowsong: dead, or imprisoned once again. A bright flash of light surrounded her for a moment, and the next instant, she wasn't there, but rather, the Warden was visible, suddenly in front of the atonished Illidan, her weapon ready in her hands. "Not under my watch!" was what she exclaimed before raising the circular blade and lowering it on the demon. She doubted such a simple attack would kill him, but she was nowhere close to stopping. What was there to lose, after all? Deep inside, the warden was in pure bliss. When Illidan had died, her life had been rendered miserable, and senseless. she had no goal, no purpose. But now, he was alive. The hunt had begun, and Maiev had the upper hand. The umbra crescent's blade was dimly glowing, charged with the power of a Shadow Strike. "I'm here to, once again, re-enact the sentence to death I myself condemned you to, Illidan! Begone!" And then the weapon began to descend towards the demon.
“Brother? I-…I can’t see.” “Illidan, this is dire. I need you to battle your way through the demons of the Emerald Dream and find your body.” –The trial would not be easy, however, within a few moments Illidan would find himself awake. His body was almost exactly as it were while spent in imprisonment. His mind was weak and drained from his trial. Malfurion would cast a wary glare at Illidan.- “It would seem we are not without hope. Welcome back, brother.” –Illidan would rub his face when suddenly a familiar sound would appear *WOOSH!* the sound of a cloth laced with metal plating, Illidan’s gaze shifted to look directly at the Maiev’s face, though he was blind her presence was too well known for him. Her presence struck Tyrande and Malfurion off guard, as Tyrande exclaimed.- “How did she find out?!” –Malfurion.- “The Watchers have eyes everywhere. Maiev, this is no time for feuding!” –Their words fell on deaf ears as Illidan rolled out of his bed to dodge her blade, the loud spikes splintering the wooden bed. <c>
-Illidan would kick towards her in the stomach attempting to knock her back, the kick lacked significant power as his body wasn’t fully recovered as imagined. His green tattoos faded into lighter colors that blended with his skin. Illidan realized his kick was ineffective and tumbled backwards rolling on his shoulders to back flip. He landed in a kneeling position and spread his arms away from his body, as if he were armed with his Twin Blades of Azzinoth. His fingers were straight and held tight together, he prepared for unarmed combat against the Warden’s lethal bladed chakram.-
Maiev Shadowsong: Two fiery orbs glared at Illidan through the helmet on Maiev's head. "Feuding! The nerve you have, to accuse me of that! You, who have not only set this demon free, but you've also brought him back to life, from the grave!" out of sheer rage, the warden leapt into the air, her body giving into a graceful spin which launched deadly blades in a circle around her, a fan of knives. Still on midair, she blinked out of existence, only to reappear behind Illidan and kick him on the back, not really hurting him, but just pushing him around. "You, Tyrande, murdered your own kin, my Watchers. You killed everyone who stood between you and this demon, and then, you freed him. It's all your fault. All of it. Your selfishness, however, wouldn't allow you to see that." A grunt was heard from her, and the umbra crescent began to glow once more, another shadow strike being prepared. "Stand up, Illidan, and face judgement with what honor you have left, if any. Today, I will send you back to whence you
Maiev Shadowsong: came!" out of nowhere in particular, two Watchers appeared, they seemed to have been hidden in the darkness of the night. Following them, another couple of pairs showed up, making a total of six, which moved forward, ahead of Illidan, and faced Malfurion and Tyrande. They all had similar chakrams, and medium armor, and they looked ready to kill, or to die. They would try and hold them back if they tried to interrupt. Ysera, however, was another issue. Few were capable of holding back a dragon aspect. But then again, why would the dragoness interfere?
-Tyrande would prepare to fight Maiev when suddenly two blades came to her throat forcing her to surrender. A single warden raised their chakram towards Ysera thought she passively stood by with no reaction whatsoever. Three Watchers surrounded Malfurion as he gripped his staff. A growling tone from his voice came to.- “Fool, Maiev! There is greater evil in existence than Illidan! If you cannot see unite against our common enemy then *you* will face charges for your actions!” –The Watchers all swung their blades to slash Malfurion as he tapped the base of his staff into the dirt floor, causing vines to break out and wrap around the six watchers and pull them to the ground. Malfurion would then growl.- “Have you forgotten that I am the leader of the Druid, I am the liaison of our people to the Emerald Dream?” –Throughout Malfurion’s talking, Illidan fought for survival as he was knocked onto the ground and struck by a shadow strike, the piercing blade causing Illidan to cough blood <c>
as it stabbed him in the ribcage.- Illidan’s body shriveled like a demon exposed to holy radiation. Malfurion would summon three Tree Ents that surrounded Illidan, before unleashing a cyclone beneath Maiev, if she didn’t move she would be lifted off the ground and trapped for a few moments unable to act. Regardless of the cyclone, Malfurion would blast a beam of green energy into Illidan healing him of his wound and poison.- “Illidan get up and make haste to Cenarius. ” –Illidan grunted as he pushed himself off the grounbd and stumbled to run out of the den. His fingers and nails dug into the dirt soil of the tunnels while he climbed and ran to reach the surface.-
Maiev Shadowsong: The warden looked down just in time to see leaves and dirt flowing in circles. Immediately, she blinked away, the Watchers backing away and regrouping in a small formation shaped like a ring around
Maiev. "Mark this day, Malfurion, for I and my sisters are branching away from you. How can the Kaldorei stand still while they're led by someone who slept through half of this era? We the Watchers hold no debt, nor have we sorn loyalty to you, or your druids! From now on, the hunt is eternal. The pursuit will last until every single one of us is dead, or Illidan is captured." As she spoke, she retrieved something from the inner side of her cape, holding it up. A paper unfolded, and a scroll of teleportation revealed itself. "Goodbye, Malfurion. I'd recommend sleeping with an eye open. Because after Illidan, your lover is next on the list..." were her last words before the entire squadron of Watchers was engulfed in a bright light, disappearing from view. Afar from there, on the other side
Maiev Shadowsong: of Mt. Hyjal, they matterialized around a simple outpost, were they gathered a few more Watchers into the group. Maiev would then walk to the exit, sighing contently as she looked around the forest. "Spread out, sisters. Let Elune guide your eyes, let the Moon cover your skin... And let there be no survivors." Said that, the group of females split into individuals, each one becoming invisible in seconds and disappearing into the vegetation.
-Illidan reached outside the den and unto pure darkness of the night Four Huntress raised their glaives towards Illidan.- “Halt!” –Illidan raised his hands.- “I mean you no harm…I am Illidan Storm-…” –Malfurion would catch up to Illidan and speak.- “They know who you are, brother. They were our safety in the event you could not be saved.”-Illidan looked to Malfurion.- “Brother…Why did you save me? Why am I brought back after such tragedy in the outlands?” –Malfurion walked towards Illidan, Tyrande and Ysera following behind him.- “A terrible power has resurrected the Human prince, Arthas. We believe it to be the workings of the dark titan…” –Illidan would finish Malfurion’s conclusion by gravely saying.- “Sargeras.” –Tyrande looked between both brothers.- “Who?” –Illidan would look to Tyrande.- “A demon would enough power to wipe out all of Azeroth without blinking…The Azshara was attempting to bring him to our world. He…was the one who had driven me mad with blood thirst for power. <C>
-Illidan looked down at his hooves and then back to them.- “Brother, what do you need me to do?” “Find Arthas and find out what Sargeras has intended for him. If Sargeras has found a means to return to this world he is likely to try and claim it for his burning legion like he had done so long. Here…You’ll need these.” –Malfurion summoned Illidan’s twin blades of Azzinoth and offered them to him. Illidan took hold of both blades and gently weaved them around before kneeling.- “My Brother, forgive my actions of the past. The shame I have brought our people. My resurrection has only occurred more division amongst our race…”-Malfurion shook his head.- “No, Illidan. It has not. Fandral Staghelm has caused us to begin questioning who is loyal and who is not. Know this Illidan…If you deceive us…if you deceive me…I will do what is necessary to eliminate you. Do you understand?” –Illidan would bow his head.- “I do, brother. I will go to the Eastern Kingdoms and find Arthas.”
-Illidan began moving through the forests of Ashenvale, his back hunched, his blades clutched in both hands as he charged towards a wall of brush.- “Where shall I strike?” –He grumbled to himself, a voice with a creaky spike to it.- “No need to be subtle…They are hunting me, if I reach the desert plains before sundown…The Warden will be forced to hunt me on her own. Still the same tactics, Maiev? Pfft…No wonder she didn’t last in politics.” –Illidan leaped into the air, back spinning with his legs leading, before hitting the brush however, his leg tucked in underneath his thigh and buttocks while in mid spin, he slashed once, twice, three, four times to break through the brush causing branches and leaves to flurry and rustling to occur as he landed on the other side of the incision. Any hunter could detect that a blade was used to make a path way, the direction would be the only clue as to where he was going. He continued on foot, with his hooves thumping against the ground. <C>
-He avoided a horde patrol, making their way towards the Night Elf’s territory. When Illidan arrived at a large clearing he paused as almost tears came to his eyes.- “My…lord…The Horde…” –The loud war drums pounded as a chain of Peons tugged on five different rope, as each attempted to bring down an adult tree. A goblin shredder would begin approaching the base of the tree as the tugged and tugged again. Illidan’s fist began to burn with rage and anger.- “Perhaps this should send a clear message to you, Thrall…”
Maiev Shadowsong: A lone scream was heard from somewhere, and all of the peons stopped their works, even the goblin shredder had to stop his contraction to turn around. Away, the peon foreman had a crescent moon-shaped blade stuck through his chest. More screams followed as Maiev's entire unit seemed to appear out of nowhere, quickly slaughtering the workforce with horrible ease. A Shadow Strike attack sent the goblin flying out of his shredder, and the machine was subsequently destroyed by the Watchers. The squadron was there, all of them. They were simply invisible, all except for Maiev, who stood still, glancing at Illidan. "Don't flee. We've been tracing Malfurion's actions for months. I've been getting ready for this. All of the Watchers under my command are here. You're surrounded. The Alliance areas are full of spies. I've eyes and ears everywhere, Illidan. This time, I have the upper hand. Face me, one on one. This Pursuit has been ridiculously long. If you best me, perhaps it will reach a [c]
Maiev Shadowsong: conclusion." She prepared her Umbra Crescent, and glared at Illidan through her helm, taking a battle stance. "Execution awaits." was all she said, practically taunting the demon into attacking her. Around, a few Watchers could be seen, alert, yet only expectating. Surely, many others were there, but were remaining invisible to the simple eyes. The Warden had evidently put some serious effort into the task at hand.
-He could see the entire whole of her forces, out numbering him to about 12 of them. The entire Night Elf culture fought from the shadows, deception was their game. The Druids would no doubt survive until the end of time, their ability to conceal and blend with nature was unmatched by anything on Azeroth. The Watchers…Perhaps it would be fair to say that no one has ever escaped them alive. Illidan remembered his past, confronted in his chamber by Maiev, alone she boldly took to strike him, only for Illidan to overpower her. In his twisted mind he wanted to do so many cruel things to that broken woman, a pestilence who took to being as troublesome as a knife in one’s side. He only did what any normal person would do to her, he placed her in a jail cell, burrowed underground through a special entrance that required one to dive into water before being able to see her. <c>
-He imagined she was lonely; he thought she would die of it, centuries away from her home and under the watchful eye of Illidan’s most “trusted…” He was a fool. Akama had nursed the Jailer back to health, and when it came time for Azeroth’s heroes to stop him, they couldn’t. Readily to mock them, the traitor Akama AND Maiev appeared to deliver their own “Justice” against him. Justice against THE LORD OF THE OUTLANDS! He saw in her eyes that only death would solve this feud between them, and even so there appeared to be no end. If only she could see he wasn’t the same man he was before. Illidan would raise his blades and softly say.- “Shadowsong…I apologize for my wrong doing. There are bigger threats to this world that we need to focus on together!”
Maiev Shadowsong: There was a pause. A vacilation. The Warden froze, staying still as she continued to stare at Illidan for a moment. Silence. Then she swung her Umbra in the air, as a gesture. "You lie! Apologizing?! Surely your death has damaged your brain, Stormrage. Naisha is dead because of your doings. You've dealth with Naga, and with those... repugnant blood-elves! And those broken monsters, like Akama. All of you, all of you will end in a prison... where I'll be the warden." Maiev sounded like she was on the edge of insanity. Pure zeal resounded in her tone. The woman had no goal in life, other than pursuing Illidan, and bounty-hunting. The Watchers were simply following her orders, it was impossible that they shared her zeal. If it were their choice, they would've probably forotten about Illidan already. But no, the Warden would have nothing of it. Again she was there, pointing a hand at the younger Stormrage and taunting him once more. "Your apology is refused. Fight me, now. Attack, or [c]
Maiev Shadowsong: I'll attack first myself. It's up to you, Stormrage." The remaining Watchers who were visible disappeared into the shadows. Now it was impossible to tell if there were just 12 or fifty of them. Illidan had died once, and Maiev's life had turned dull and lacking of a sense. Without him, she was nothing, but he was there again! And that was all that filled her mind. The fact that her only interest in life was in front of her, and she had the chance to fight him. "Come on!"
-Illidan shook his head in frustration of her zeal, -‘Her Crusade will be the death of her…’ –Unknown to Illidan, those were exactly Malfurion’s thoughts on the woman. Illidan would raise his blades and say.- “Very well, Maiev…Know this. I do not fight you on terms of being a criminal. I fight you as a hero of Azeroth. I fight you because no one has put an end to your self-destructive path! Stand pull back your wardens and prepare to face me!” –Illidan’s teeth ground against each other exposing crooked teeth that have suffered abuse and yet still remain intact. Illidan leaped at her, spinning to kick towards her, a dragon strike; his leg and blade simultaneously striking at her shoulders before retracting his leg to pull underneath him. In midflight he spun and slashed his blade to strike her shoulder again. The first Blade was intending to strike her Chakram, parrying their blades and possibly offering her the opportunity to jam his blade into her weapon. <c>
If she had done so, his second blade would slash, and rend the shoulder of her robe. His right leg reaching out to follow up with a kick to her stomach to knock her back if the strike was successful. If neither were, he would recalibrate and stand toe-to-toe against her with his blades ready to strike at her. By the end of his swings his left hand would be held out from his body, aligned behind his back, while his right hand remained in front of him, protecting his frontal assault. His body twisted to fight sideways allowing him maximum coverage on all six sides of his body.-
Maiev Shadowsong: Maiev would block both the first kick and the first blade slash, using her Umbra Crescent to deflect the strikes. Still, she wasn't fast enough to block the second slash to her shoulder, nor the subsequent kick to her stomach. She flinched back, and spun in the air, throwing a torrent of knives at Illidan before landing. And once she touched the ground, she blinked, a flash of light covering her before she simply disappeared. Within the space of a second she had shown up behind Illidan, trying to hit him with a Shadow Strike from her weapon. Illidan's own attack had cut the right side of her cape, which made it hang mild-loosely from her big shoulderpad. It'd also left a mark on the metal part of her shoulderpad, but it hadn't penetrated through it. "Die!" was what she screamed from behind before lowering her weapon onto him, the strike aiming directly at the base of Illidan's wings. Despite what she'd said, the attack was clearly not aiming for a kill, but rather, she seemed to be [c]
Maiev Shadowsong: intent on chopping off his wings. If it hit, it would leave a nasty wound on his back, and if it missed, the chakram-shaped blade would get stuck on the ground behind Illidan, giving him a tiny, yet existent opening for him to counter-attack, if he could turn around in time.
-Her flurry of knives were dodged by Illidan tucking himself together, his right arm folding into his chest, his wings tucking close to his form, while his left hand tucked behind his back. He saw the knives and as any normal person would the danger caused his heart to job, however, inside his demonic enchanted eyes he could see the coming at him in slow motion, his ears could hear them whispering as they sliced through air driving directly towards him. Illidan’s legs bounced him into the air a and despite his size he would seemingly dodge the entire strike, however; the reality of it was that as he spun his right blade slashed and knocked all of the knives away from hitting him. Landing on the ground Illidan saw the flash and immediately tucked his body together and bounced off the ground, strafing Maiev as she shouted at him with her strike to his back. His tuck and roll would be used to optimize his counter, his first strike from his right hand slashed<c>
the armor of her ripped cape, aiming for the exposed armor on her left arm. Once landing at her side, she might feel his right hand and blade grapple onto her shoulder as he attempted to shove her towards the ground using her left shoulder as pressure. His right leg would then attempt slam into the back of her knee, if this whole counter attack was successful, she would probably have no time to grab hold of her weapon and pull it out of the ground.-<C>
-If it was successful, she would feel the weight of her armor and her body slamming against the ground with his strength propelling her with greater velocity that it would cause dust in the immediate area to puff and take to the air.-
-The ground would begin to moan and cry as Illidan awoken surrounded by darkness and aberrations of life. Illidan growled as everything was a dark green color. His weapons were missing, but his strength was at its peak.
