Background story
Roman Sionis was a business man who inherited his fathers company upon his parents death. Specializing in make-up products, Sionis's company would go into bankruptcy during a rough year of constant Joker threats of laughing gas and make up. Sions's company would receive government stimulus money to sustain them for a short period but, eventually they filed for bankruptcy again. This time Wayne Enterprises would step in and bail out the company with the terms that Bruce Wayne would appoint a new Board of directors for the company while leaving Roman as nothing more than a mid level manager. Roman reluctantly agreed but, grew hatred for Bruce Wayne and Wayne Enterprises.
Roman would later plot and plan kidnappings of Wayne Enterprise employees in order to cause grief and pain to Bruce Wayne, however; Roman would leave clues of his murdered victims with chemicals used in his companies beauty products. Batman would confront Roman under the alias of Black Mask inside Roman's home, where Roman intended to burn the house faking his death while also killing the Batman. Batman would successfully escape, however; the whereabouts of Black Mask became unknown.

Criminal Leader - Black Mask is a formidable opponent to anyone he deems a threat. He works tirelessly towards defeating his enemies by any means necessary while also choosing to inflict as much pain and suffering to them.
Sadism - Black Mask takes great pleasure in inflicting pain upon his victims. His cruelty knows of no limit and the more deranged and sadistic, the more interested he becomes.
